Τεράστια επιτυχία της Διοίκησης του Keravnos Strovolou Basketball αποτελεί η πρόσφατη συμφωνία με τον καλαθοσφαιριστή Anthony Lamar King (22 Ιανουαρίου 1985, Center 2.07) για συμβόλαιο δύο ετών. Ο Κινγκ είναι Αμερικανός αλλά πολιτογραφημένος Κύπριος και είναι ο βασικός ψηλός της Εθνικής Ομάδας της Κύπρου.
Μόλις πρόσφατα ήταν ένας εκ των συντελεστών της Κυπριακής επιτυχίας για την κατάκτησή του Χρυσού μεταλλίου στους Αγώνες των Μικρών Κρατών Ευρώπης.
Ο Κινγκ ήταν προσωπική επιλογή του προπονητή Λιβαδιώτη καθώς γνωρίζονταν όταν αγωνίζονταν στην ΕΘΑ (2009-11) όπου κατάκτησαν το πρωτάθλημα.
Στη συνέχεια είχε μια πολύ επιτυχημένη καριέρα με την Artland Dragons στη Γερμανία (2011-2015) ενώ την περασμένη σεζόν είχε μια επιτυχημένη χρονιά στο Τουρκικό πρωτάθλημα.
Ο Κεραυνός Στροβόλου καλωσορίζει τον Α.Λ.Κινγκ στο Κυπριακό Πρωτάθλημα και του εύχεται οτι καλύτερο με τη φανέλα του ΚΕΡΑΥΝΟΥ.
A huge success of Keravnos management has been the recent signing of Anthony Lamar King (22-Jan-1985, Center 2.07) for a two year contract. King is American born but naturalized Cypriot and he is a core player of the Cyprus National Team. Just recently he helped Cyprus win the Gold medal is the Games of the Small States of Europe where he was the team’s best rebounder and blocker.
King was the personal choice of Coach Livadiotis as they two know each other during the Coach’s spell with ETHA (2009-11) when they won the Championship. He then had a very successful career with Artland Dragons in Germany (2011-2015) and last season he had a good season with Gaziantep basketball in the Turkish League.
